The Falls at Friendswood
August 20, 2007
The city of Friendswood has announced that a 134 acre parcel of land located off of FM 528 and bordered by Clear Creek will be developed into a $200 million development called The Falls at Friendswood. Richard Browne, who helped design the 27,000-acre, master-planned community of The Woodlands has designed this mixed-use project. Plans are underway to create an approximately 1.6 million square foot, mixed-use urban center anchored by a pedestrian mall at the center of the development. Other amenities will be retail outlets, office space, and residential lofts. Space is also plentiful for entertainment venues, a boutique hotel, marina and a 2,500 seat amphitheater.
Within ten years, The Falls at Friendswood is destined to become a major attraction drawing upon the residents of Friendswood and from all of the thriving communities in the Bay Area Houston region.
